Without the mithra kurian's madhu character,
Kaavalan movie is full of waste.But her character
only makes audience to sit and watch in the

Thalapathi did a marvellous movie again. When
compared the past 6 movies tis was a fantastic
one:-) and my lover(asin) came back to tamil
industry again:-) and she also did a wonderful job
in tis film:) last 20 mins of the film was
amazing:) thank's to siddque sir to gave such a
good film to thalapathy.

Hi all, I watched all the three movies
(Siruthai,Kaavalan and Aadukalam). Among the
3,Kaavalan is the best movie. siruthia is a good
masala movie.Aadukalam is also nice but not upto
the expectation (It is similar to Aaru film) I
would request everyone please see the movie and
then give your suggestions and feedback.some
people blindly post wrong and bad review about the
movie and Vijay. please don't do that after all we
all are tamilian. If we fight within ourself then
outsiders will take the advantage.Build Unity ,we
can rule the world. Support every actor
(Rajini,Kamal,Vijay,Surya,Vikram,Ajith,Dhanush
etc.) and proud to be tamilian.

AWesome vijay have been seen through this film.Actually
I have watched oldmake also.compare to that film it's

Movie Kavalan was really good. The Screenplay was
excellent. The Hero, Heroine acted brilliantly.

KAAVALAN movie review_“Kaavalan” was a movie
that was a real test for Vijay outs...ide the
cinema arena. The movie was in turbulence with
regard to its release and it was importantly a
prestige issue for the actor to make sure that the
film got released for Pongal. There were too many
things said and read in between the lines and in
the end the film finally managed to hit the
screens on 15th Jan 2011 which has brought in
cheers to his fans who were not sure whether the
film would get released or not 24 hours
back. The movie is a remake of the Malayalam
film “Bodyguard” and director Siddique who had
written and directed the original is in-charge of
Story, Screenplay and Direction for the Tamil
version also. It looks like a conscious decision
by Vijay to choose a subject that is different
from his usual mass hero subject films as his
recent releases bombed in the box-office like nine
pins. “Kaavalan” is no where near to be
called a typical Vijay film but the movie has a
logical framework within which the story has been
told and in terms of execution, it can’t get any
better. The major drawback however is that Vijay
finds it very hard to come out of the mass-hero
mould and hence this film does fail to impress the
audience. In fact even his die-hard fans are
finding it difficult to accept their star acting
in a subdued subject like this. The movie kick
starts with Muthuramalingam (Rajkiran) a powerful
don on his way back helps a pregnant woman to the
hospital and he also names the new born boy as
Bhoominathan. Bhoominathan (Vijay) is a guy who
would go any distance to solve everyone’s
problem with a strong dose of violence. Perturbed
by this, his father (Nizhalgal Ravi) sends him to
guard Muthuramalingam under the guise that there
is imminent danger to his life. Bhoominathan
then on duty saves Muthuramalingam on a couple of
instances which also gets him the wrath of
Muthuramalingam’s wife Devika (Roja).

I watched kavalan yesterday.. + (VEs) After a
long time Vijay has done some thing like this. The
main strengh of this movie is Vijays
performance. This script has all the twists and
turns to keep the audience interested till the end
of movie. Vidya sagars music really adds life to
the movie. I liked the Step it up and yaaradu
Song. Vadivelu and asin adds flavors to the the
film. -(ves) The first ten mins and The last ten
mins is a bit dragging. It could have been trimmed
of a bit. The plot looksd a bit old
fashioned. Verdict.. A Feel good movie , that you
can watch with your family. Rating- 3.5 /5

Coming to much awaited Kaavalan, i would like to
comment here - right from bottom of my
heart. Highlights..... > Thank GOD, Vijay has
chosen these kind of family scripts(even though
after a bit late) > Some of the scenes added and
amended to suit for tamil & Vijay rasigargal >
Good comical & mild romantic scenes > Convincing
Climax and performance of the stars(but still i
can say that - its only a convincing performance
from both the actors Vijay & Asin) > End of the
day, its really a good entertainer for family
audiences who are looking for a feel good
movie. Walks of the FlipSide.... > As above said,
it is only the convincing performance from the
lead stars (VJ & asin). -- They can even do a lot
better & good. (Personal comment : really we are
expecting a lot VJ.) > Its been some kind of
disappointment for the peoples who are waiting for
Vijay dance steps.(Only ok type of dance
movements) -Finally congrats to all vijay fans,
who suffered a lot from previous movie SURA. Its
really a relief & believe me, Kaavalan turns out
to be one of the 2010 blockbluster.(Definitely you

No sun pictures.. No Red Giant movies.. No media
support.. No trailers in any of the Channels.. So
many hindrance in releasing the film.. Even then
the film had a huge opening, 1st half mass 2nd

First off, Ilaya Thalapathi Vijay deserves kudos
for shedding his action/political persona and
digging his toes in and choosing a script that
focuses on comedy and emotions. And having gone
through endless trouble, legal and otherwise,
expectations about the film have risen sky-high.
Ekaveera Creations' Tamil film Kavalan
(Bodyguard), a remake of the Malayalam hit
Bodyguard, directed by Siddique himself, has
certain changes incorporated in the script for the
star himself but that's only to be expected. This
isn't to say that the film is completely devoid of
minuses, but the beginning, at least, kicks off in
intriguing fashion. Instead of the usual fireworks
induced sparkling title credits, the introduction
is pretty low-key, despite the boxing-match
beginning. In yet another surprise, the hero,
Bhoominathan (Vijay), so named by Muthuramalingam
(Raj Kiran), at his birth, and blessed by him to
be the very epitome of non-violence, even takes a
few punches on the chin. Of course, he also gives
back as good as he gets. That's because
Bhoominathan, or Bhoomi, as he's called
affectionately, would like nothing more than to
solve everyone's problems with a healthy dose of
violence. That's the cue for his family to send
him to Semmanur, to take a course in passiveness,
by making him Muthuramalingam's bodyguard. Exactly
how being someone's bodyguard would lead to a
gentle life is anyone's guess, but Bhoomi makes
the journey anyway, unaware of his family's
intentions. From hereon, the film changes tone
almost entirely. Barring one or two random
sequences where Bhoomi saves his mentor's life,
and thereby incurs his wife, Devika's (Roja [
Images ]) wrath, there's precious little of action
here. He does however, run into the very pretty
and fully-made up Meera, Muthaiyya's daughter
(Asin [ Images ], in Tamil after a long break) and
mistakes her for a factory worker and believes her
friend Madhu to be the real daughter of the house.

troupe has bounced back with Kaavalan. It’s
super fun, perfect Pongal family entertainer and
fits in with the spirit of the season. What makes
the film tick is that Vijay with the help of
director Siddique has done something different
within the constraints of the formula. The Tom &
Jerry comic escapades of Vijay and Vadivel is a
scream, song placements are perfect, romance is
subtle but touching and the emotional climax twist
is hard hitting. No Villain, no skin, no crass
comedy, yet never a dull moment in the 2 hour 25
minutes movie. Bhoominathan (Vijay) has been
given that name by Semanoor Muthuramalingam (Raj
Kiran), a wealthy and powerful feudal landlord.
Bhoomi takes up an assignment to be the bodyguard
of Muthuramalingam and saves him and his family
consisting of his wife (Roja), daughter Meera
(Asin), son Karthi (KK). He is given a new
assignment by his boss to be Meera and her friend
Madhu’s (Mitra Kurian) bodyguard at the college
where they are studying. Bhoomi is some kind of a
joke at the campus, with his peculiar mannerisms,
security guard’s dresses and dark glasses. Meera
and her friends find his presence, often
irritating. To poke fun at him, Meera starts
making prank calls to him pretending to be a girl
who is in love with him. After a while, things get
serious, which leads to twist in the story. One
of the drawbacks of the film is the famous
Asin-Vijay chemistry that has failed to work on
screen. Asin looks disinterested and sleep walks
in a well written role. The film lacks a
creditable storyline, but has been packaged
keeping humour as its base, which makes it an
engaging watch. Vadivel who comes as Vijay’s
side-kick and his comic antics with the hero are
genuine gut busters. Raj Kiran, MS Bhaskar and
Roja have hardly anything to do. Mithra Kurian in
second lead is ok. Ekhambaram’s camera work is
neat. Vidyasagar- Vijay combo works with some
great melodies and fast beats li

everybody said that something different from vijay. i
think we can give 4/5.. good movie from vijay.pls dont

It is not the easy job for a single man to release
movie along with the mass production sun, but vijay has
done it well. I am sure whoever supported vijay and
released this movie will get good benefit as the film
is hit. People blindly go with sun tv production,
already ones ajith has got problem so dont think that

We all hope atleast this film will be some thing
different from his usual flow. Though some of his
films were failure b'cause of his same story line.
vijay now has realized himself. which is really
good for his career and for vijay fans.. Also,
vijay's father himself has stated in one of the
press meet that his son will not do the same
mistakes which he has done in the past. which is
also good for vijay. b'cause he got some mentor to
go in the right path in the future to compete with
heros like surya, may be ajith and others
