Vijay tamil actorThis news might come as a surprise to many ardent fans of Rajni. Not that Aishwarya’s Bangle ceremony (Valaikaappu) was unexpected, but that the news about a function in Rajni’s residence did not get coverage in the media. Well, that’s a strict private function which was held in a very quiet manner with only very few people participating.
The function was held around two weeks ago with Aishwarya and Dhanush being the center of attention of the small gathering.
Ajith with his wife Shalini and Vijay with his wife and kids attended the ceremony. Others in the guest list included close relatives and very good friends from the film fraternity. The media was not given any notification about the function. But then Valaikaappu is meant to be a very closed family function. It was all over very soon without much ado, just a simple ritual, after all Rajni is now known to be a man of simplicity.

Wishing the parent to be Aishwarya and Dhanush all the best.

Vijay tamil actorAnd while on romance, Vijay, later this year, will break a lot of teen hearts when he weds
Sangeeta the NRI industrialist's daughter he met in London and got engaged to.
Vijay tamil actorMeanwhile, Vijaykanth and SAC go back a long way -- it being the latter who catapulted the 'poor man's Rajnikanth' to prominence with Sattam Oru Iruttarai.
Vijay tamil actorAnd while on Vijaykanth, his Diwali release Veeram Vilanja Mann will be dubbed in Telugu, with Sai Ramesh handling the dialogues. His earlier film, Captain Prabhakar, in its dubbed version, attracted fans in Andhra Pradesh, and this film seeks to cash in on his popularity there.

Vijay tamil actorAs if to do justice to the title of the young Turk, Vijay has become the commanding force of the Tamil industry with popularity and business support next only to the superstar Rajinikanth. But, the success and the adulation did not happen overnight. His journey has met with several obstacles and failures.

. Vijay tamil actorHis determination and self-confidence have brought him the laurels. Vijay comes from a family which has strong experience in the film industry. Father, S. A. Chandrasekaran is a popular director and mother Shoba is an accomplished playback singer. Vijay has a soft corner for anyone who answers to the name Vidya for it is the name of his sister who died when she was just two. He made his debut as a child artiste in the film, Vetri. His first film as hero was Nalaiya theerpu. He has acted in 48 films so far. Films like Rasigan, Senthurappandi and Deva made him the badshah of B and C centres while Kadhalukku mariyadhai, Poove unakkaga, Once more, Gilli, etc. made his appeal sore among the urban audience.

Vijay tamil actorAfter quite a while, a Vijay film ushers in freshness. The actor who vehemently followed an agenda of unrealistic action and larger-than-life heroism for the past few years has finally relented and tried out a line that works in his favour. Subtle acting is his forte — in the past Kadhalukku Mariyaadhai, Kannukul Nilavu and Love Today proved it amply.

Also, playing a slightly anti part in Piriyamanavalae and a strongly negative role in Piriyamudan, Vijay showed that his potential extends beyond mere gimmickry. Now again in Kaavalan (U), looking fit and very much in form, Vijay impacts. Ideally, this should have been Vijay's 50{+t}{+h} film.
Vijay tamil actorThe rapids you normally witness in Vijay's stunt-filled sojourns may be missing in Kaavalan but its calmness like that of a gently flowing stream overpowers you — the last 40 minutes keep you glued.
Vijay tamil actorDirector Siddique and Vijay have taken a long time to get back together — Friends marked their first outing. But Kaavalan has been worth the wait. After his Malayalam Bodyguard with Dileep and Nayantara in the lead, Siddique has gone in for a Tamil remake. Siddique's characterisations and comedy sense always place him apart. In Kaavalan, Vadivelu tries to repeat the magic of Friends, and, to an extent, succeeds.
Vijay tamil actorBoominathan (Vijay) is incredibly loyal to Muthuramalingam (Raj Kiran) and when he is made to believe that the senior's life is in jeopardy, he rushes to Semmanur, where the man lives. Soon a series of unexpected happenings change his life.
Vijay tamil actor lucky charm, Asin Thottumkal, joins him. Nayan did a great job in Bodyguard and in Kaavalan Asin shows that she's no less talented. Naughty, compassionate and mature all at once, she displays a melange of emotions with ease. But the twinkle in her eyes is missing. Mithra Kurian's (she played the same role in Bodyguard) attractive face and poignant expressions are her pluses. As always Raj Kiran is spontaneous and brings in more nuances than Thyagarajan did in the original.
Excellent angles and tones, exotic locations and indoor ambiences make N. K. Ekambaram's cinematography and Mani Susithra's artwork unique.
Vijay tamil actorAll the same, Kaavalan isn't devoid of redundant sequences and songs that hamper the narration. Probably commercial constraints made Siddique go in for such elements in an otherwise smooth screenplay. In this era of communication explosion, a father sends his son to a well wisher who lives far away, with a letter, like they did in the good old days!
