Vijay status Ever think that you just don’t have enough time to spend on your side projects?
Vijay status Completing the signature code is taking a little longer than I had hoped, due to some serious refactoring I have been working on. The majority of the weekend (after I figured out the compression algorithm and the different structures needed to hold the signature data) was spent thinking about the differences between applications written for the sole purpose of demonstrating how to do something vs. applications written to be extendable and usable. Up until this last weekend I hadn't really put a lot of design into Vijay. It was mostly a bunch of data structures and a few classes that drove the flow for parsing the bytes into the data structures. Most of that is still fine with my evolving design due to the logic being mostly just moving bytes from a stream into more usable data structures that will be utilized in other parts of the application.
Vijay status With signatures, the application is now at a point where the data structures (arrays of stucts representing the metadata tables) are being used to build the next level of information (one level higher than the raw bytes, even though it is still mostly dealing with bytes from the blob byte array) … This past weekend, I spent a lot of time looking at DILE and have adopted some of the ideas he uses in parsing the signature bytes. The idea is to keep building from the bottom up.
Vijay status Pagalavan
Vijay status It has been reported that Vijay will be doing Pagalavan with Seeman after wrapping up work on Nanban and Velayudham. But recent reports that have been pouring in reveal that Vijay has also been signed on for films with AR Murugadoss, Gautham Menon, Hari and AL Vijay. Every one wants a slice of him and people are wondering if there isn’t too much on his plate.
Vijay status The rumor mongers have been saying that since Vijay is keen on getting started with the Murugadoss project which will be followed by the film with Gautham Menon, Pagalavan has been put on the backburner. However, producer Kalaipuli S Thanu said that the rumors should be disregarded as Vijay is very much on board for the project.
Vijay status Looks like Vijay will be working very hard in the future, to tackle all the projects he has taken on and still come out swinging!


Vijay status Velayutham
Vijay status Velayutham was originally planned as a Vijay's birthday (June 22nd 2011) release. But now the release date has been postponed. Enquiries reveal that Velayutham’s director Jayam Raja has not completed the shooting and needs to film two more songs and a few scenes. Owing to this, the film’s release has been postponed to August, sources report.
Vijay status Further, Velayutham’s producer Aascar Ravichandran is spending around 2 crores for Vijay’s intro song alone. Since the producer and director want this song to be the talk of the town, they are making major plans which are pushing back the release of the film.
Vijay status Vijay Anthony is scoring the music for this film and the audio is expected to hit the market very soon.
