Vijay ajith Well, NO. Thats not what Vijay and Ajith are engaged in here. Theirs is strategy driven by marketing the rivalry and NOT themselves. What most Ajith and Vijay films sell is the Ajith-Vijay Rivalry unlike a Rajinikanth film which sold only Rajini the man.
Vijay ajith Essentially, they have attacked the market and destroyed any grey area possible. One has to be either black or white. Even till this date in colleges in the towns of tamil nadu, One has to be either an Ajith fan or a Vijay fan and there is no other option.
Vijay ajith In each film, Ajith stresses on how he was a man who made himself unlike Vijay a man from the industry family. And at the other end, Vijay plays the cool jovial rival and pulls off jibes at Ajith asking him to calm down, be normal. While Ajith has completely plot-unrelated dialogues stressing on how he is the honest sincere struggler and hence the better choice than a spoilt brat, Vijay sends counters mocking Ajith's tummy, title 'thala' and what not.
Vijay ajith How does a common man take this? Subliminally, whats being sold to him? Two contrasting personalities in a never ending race.
Vijay ajith And why does the audience buy this?? It is a simple theory of human mind and behavior - Association. Every normal looking person would either associate himself with a man who is also normal looking but racy and successful or with a man who is smart and stands for struggle,sympathy and strength.

Vijay ajith It was the gathering of who's who of Kollywood at the muhurat of AVM's 167th venture Tirupathi starring Ajith at the AVM Studios in Chennai on Onam day.
The highlight of the occasion was Ajith and Vijay, who were reportedly at logger heads all these days, turning up together and sharing pleasantries. After a warm handshake, Vijay wished all the best to Ajith for the success of Tirupathi.
Vijay ajith Speaking about the film, Perarasu said, 'it would be an action venture and Ajith plays a youth running an audio service center called Tirupathi in a village'.

Vijay ajith Ilayathalapathy Vijay is getting busy day by day as he is signing a lot of new films in Kollywood. It looks like Vijay will be kept busy by his film commitments till 2012. Ram Gopal Varma is producing a bilingual movie in Tamil and Hindi.
Vijay ajith The film will be directed by Ram Gopal Varma's assistant Ajith. The film has not been titled yet but according to the sources, Ajith might rope in Vijay for playing the lead role in Tamil version.
Vijay ajith Bollywood actor Akshay Khanna will be Vijay's counter part in Hindi version. Sources also adds that the director has decided to sign Nadodigal fame Abhinaya to play the female lead role in Tamil.

Vijay ajith Last Sunday, Vijay received a phone call which overjoyed him. The voice on the other end was Ajith’s. Awed by Villu, which he is rumoured to have watched at Praarthana drive-in theatre, Ajith rang up his friend and colleague Vijay right away.
Vijay ajith Profusely appreciating the film and Vijay’s work in it, Ajith said that Villu is definitely one of his best films. Ajith was full of praise for the film’s astounding stunt scenes and Vijay’s efforts in them. Apparently, he also advised Vijay not to take so much risk while doing stunts. Well, all this must have left Vijay elated!

He is frequently involved in the film’s brainstorming sessions with director Saran on phone. Recently, Saran declared that Asal’s filming will begin in March and Ajith has already started working on his new get-up for the film.

Rumour mills had it that ace director Mani Ratnam could be working with the star in the future, which sources deny. A source says, "The two directors who could possibly work with Ajith post Billa 2 are Vijay and Vishnuvardhan. Vijay has already worked with him in Kireedam, the director's debut venture. Also, he's now hot in the circuit post Deiva Thirrumagal and Ajith is looking forward to working with him again. The other filmmaker in the fray is Vishnuvardhan, who directed Ajith in Billa and missed doing Billa 2 due to clash of dates."

But looks like the surprise did not end there. Rumor has it that Ilayathalapathi Vijay invited Thala Ajith to his house for dinner and Ajith accepted it.
